Frost Family Pet Clinic is looking for a full time (32-34 hours/wk) veterinarian to join our team in Northern Illinois. We are a neighborhood, small animal clinic with the goal of providing or helping access the level of care our clients desire, ranging from “the basics” to the highest level of specialty surgery and medicine. We believe in teamwork, both within our clinic and as a part of the regional veterinary community. As such, we have worked hard to establish and maintain solid relationships with a network of clinics and specialty hospitals that can be utilized for optimal care for our patients.
We strive for relaxed, comfortable visits for people and their pets. We are a laid-back, collegial, detail-oriented team of doctors and credentialed technicians. Our workdays typically run from 8:30am-12:30pm and 2pm-6pm with a goal of 8 hour workdays (or less!). We staff 1 doctor on Saturday mornings 8-12 (usually the owner). We do not hospitalize patients overnight. Emergencies after business hours are handled by our local emergency clinic.
We have digital radiography, digital dental radiography, high speed dental equipment, a class 4 therapy laser, in-house blood analyzers, digital tonometry, cryotherapy, and full anesthetic monitoring equipment including an IV fluid warmer.
Our exam rooms are equipped with computer workstations for medical records and Midmark lift tables. We utilize SOAP format computerized records and a master problem list for each patient. We have a team of 5 formally trained, certified, and licensed CVTs on staff to support our doctors.
We are looking for a doctor who is kind to animals and people and enjoys daily surgery and/or dentistry. Our ideal candidate will be looking for long-term employment and a buy-in discussion at the end of the first year. The current owner views the practice as a vehicle for quality of life, helping others, productive work, and fair profit with something of value to transfer to the next owner.
Compensation target is $450 per day. Benefits include $1000 for CE, DEA Licensure Fee, pet care discount, VIN membership, ISVMA and AVMA dues. Signing bonus of $2000 for the new doctor moving to or living in the local area.
