The Mountain Hospital for Animals located on beautiful Lookout Mountain overlooking Chattanooga, Tennessee, is seeking a veterinarian to work approximately 20 hours a week in a unique setting. The position could eventually become full-time. The practice sees a mixture of beloved dogs and cats as well as exotic animals from all over the five county area. Candidates that have an interest in exotic animal medicine are preferred but those skills are not required to apply. Practice owner is an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine as well as the veterinarian for the world renowned Tennessee Aquarium. He also works with the native wild animal collection at the Chattanooga Nature Center. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, in house diagnostic capability as well as ultrasound and rigid endoscopy. The practice owner takes care of the collection at the Tennessee Aquarium as well as the wildlife at the Chattanooga Nature Center. We have a busy schedule that includes all types of... surgery, medicine and behavioral consultations. Our client base is a diverse group of people that live on Lookout Mountain, where pets are very important, or those that drive a great distance to have their unusual animals cared for. We have in house diagnostic facilities, digital radiography, rigid endoscopy and ultrasound.
