The Veterinary Medical Center of Central New York is dedicated to supporting new graduates into becoming successful small animal emergency veterinarians. We are proud to offer a 6 month emergency immersion period for new grads that offers steady mentorship, continuing education and regular feedback and support. We also offer sign-on bonuses and will consider loan assistance for long-term contracts.
At the VMC emergency clinicians work alongside the other specialists, which include critical care, internal medicine, surgery, radiology, medical oncology, and cardiology. Our pain management service includes physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, chiro and massage. The emergency service is currently supported by 2 criticalists (currently looking for a third), providing ample opportunity to learn new skills and enhance knowledge base. Emergency clinicians work an average of thirteen shifts per month with ample time off to play! The ER schedule has been constructed by the ER doctors, and we maintain flexibility to adjust the schedule to ensure a balanced life style.

We are a privately owned small animal emergency/specialty hospital located in Syracuse, NY. We are located in new, beautiful facility that boasts all the latest equipment, such as 16 slice CT, digital radiography, paper-lite veterinary software, multiple continuous multi-parameters monitors, 5 specialized veterinary technicians, endoscopy, arthroscopy, chemotherapy infusion room, isolation wards and a treatment area staffed 24 hours a day.
