Wilkes County Veterinary Service is a progressive mixed animal practice located in north east Georgia, between Athens and Augusta on Highway 78 in historic Washington, GA. Our practice is 60% small animal and 40% large. The large animal practice includes work with horses, dairy cows, beef cows, and small ruminants. We are currently a 2 doctor practice looking for a full time associate. There is potential for the new associate to buy into the practice for the right candidate after 1-2 years. The associate should feel comfortable with all species; a strong interest in equine medicine is preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Emergency duties, holiday's, and weekend schedules are on a rotating basis. We will provide money towards continuing education, AABP or AAEP dues, state and national dues, health insurance, paid vacation, and paid holiday's. An equipped truck will be provided for farm calls. We have digital radiographs, and ultrasounds for both in-house and field work. We have in-house Abaxis laboratory machines. In June of 2017 we moved into our new state of the art hospital that is set up with all equipment needed to practice up to date medicine and surgery.
Additional Salary Information: Salary $65,000 and up based on experience.
We are a veterinary clinic located in rural Northeast Georgia. We are a mixed veterinary practice that is 70% small animal and 30% large animal. We provide both routine, preventive herd health programs and emergency care to a variety of small ruminants, dairy cattle, beef cattle, and equine.
