Colorado is a beautiful state. The Denver-metro area has more sunny days per year than places like San Diego or Miami Beach. The Denver 2017 Thanksgiving holiday weekend was sunny and in the 70s. Denver is in a semi-arid climate, with typically less than 16 inches of precipitation per year. Of course, the nearby mountains and ski resorts get lots of snow per year—hence our world-renown skiing and snowboarding! Yes, you could have skied in the Colorado mountains over the 2017 Thanksgiving weekend. And, don’t forget the sometimes overlooked, but amazing, Colorado summertime. The perfect summer weather is full of outdoor options from hiking and biking to just relaxing with friends. Denver was once again ranked one of the top 10 dog friendliest cities and fittest cities in the US—it was ranked #3 (dog friendliest) and #7 (fittest) in 2017. Denver has the largest city park system in the USA. There are a wide array of museums, arts and entertainment. Colorado loves its professional sports teams—go Broncos, go Rockies, go Avalanche, go Nuggets, go Rapids, go Outlaws, go Mammoth! There is something for everyone here!
