We are seeking a hospital manager to assist us in reaching and maintaining peak performance. Our rapidly growing practice is in need of a motivated and responsible manager to be a part of our wonderful team. We see companion animals as well as exotics.We take pride in our effort to give back to the community and work closely with many animal shelters and animal rescues in order to provide excellent medical care to homeless pets.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Planning
Sets goals for hospital performance based on previous performance and mission/vision; designs strategies for meeting these goals
Acts as a champion for change and identifies, documents, shares, and promotes best practices
Participates in the planning and budget maintenance process
Establishes goals for the practice and staff
Creates the hospital schedule and manages labor costs to budget
Maintain procedures to maintain AAHA and OSHA compliance
Oversees employee benefits program and hospital insurance plans
Develops and implements hospital policy, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA compliance
Performs quality checks and reviews of client files. Supervises usage of practice software to ensure that client records are entered consistently and correctly.
Monitors computer systems and works with IT leader to resolve technical systems/equipment issues
Organizes all personnel activities.
Updates the employee handbook, written job descriptions, employee personnel files.
Coordinates regular performance reviews.
Hires and manages support staff and/or staff supervisors; schedules staff and doctors.
Periodically reviews salaries and benefits.
Provides phase training and helps staff plan for continuing education
Resolves staff issues.
Be accessible to staff while maintaining a professional relationship with them.
Partners with the owner to address staffing needs including hiring, training, reviewing,
Implements performance-based incentive and rewards and recognition programs
Tracks and maintains current licensure for all DVMs
Demonstrates and reinforces the highest level of client service
Maintains the practice philosophy for attracting new clients and retaining existing clients.
Facilitates resolution of client problems that doctors or other staff members cannot finalize.
Resolves financial problems with clients, collecting delinquent accounts and "NSF'” checks; determines when special financial agreements are appropriate.
Resolves client issues and escalations, and oversees client follow-up communication
Monitors and reports on accounts payable and receivable.
Establishes an inventory control system to assure adequate stocks of supplies are available; plans for periodic audits; negotiates best prices.
Reviews financial statements and key performance indicators and discusses them with the owners and doctors.
Ensures payroll is accurately completed and submitted for all hospital staff
Performs other duties essential to the performance of the hospital as assigned
Initiates new programs and markets services through public relations campaigns.
Promotes internal marketing programs to increase client/patient visitation rate.
Maintains effective advertising in paper publishing and internet campaigns
Monitors and maintains social media
Develops a schedule for hospital/vehicle maintenance; contracts for and supervises all maintenance activities to ensure that practice medical standards are met.
Orders and supervises storage of non-medical supplies.
Maintains a facility/vehicle visually appealing to client and staff.
Designs and administers safety and security regulations and training.
Education in business or related field is preferred
2-4 years of experience in a leadership role with customer service experience preferred
Experience in a hospital setting preferred
Basic computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office suite (Previous practice management software knowledge preferred). Technical experience ideal since we are paperless.
