Cape Fear Animal Hospital is the oldest continuously operated animal hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Our clientele is a mix of multi-generational Fayetteville families and military families from the base at Fort Bragg. Our cat and dog practice enjoys an excellent reputation in the community for its service to pets, owners and the community at large.
You will have several “toys” to play with at our well-equipped practice, including:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in North Carolina
Ability to multi-task, work as a team, and know when to ask for help
Enjoy educating clients and building those client relationships
Experience in surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and “all things GP”
The ability to have fun, and “work hard, play hard”
What you will be doing:
Developing a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; performing physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explaining physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generating and presenting a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educating clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
Maintaining client/patient medical/surgical records and making certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assisting colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
Staying up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attending Continuing Education meetings.
