Southern Regional Veterinary Emergency Services is looking for highly skilled veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants to join our emergency team. The ideal candidate will have an associate of applied science degree in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited institution with a license to practice in the state of Alabama. Applicants who do not possess a degree should still apply if they have experience in veterinary medicine or are currently working to obtain a license.
We are looking for individuals who are proactively engaged in a high level of patient care and are interested in advancing their knowledge in veterinary medicine. Applicants should be compassionate, detailed oriented, and be able to anticipate in a busy work environment. We are looking for full time and part time personnel so please specify which you would desire. Applicants wanting full time positions will be given priority. Willingness to work nights weekends and holidays will also be given top priority. We have generous after hours compensation and pay double time for holidays.
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis

Additional Salary Information: Salary is based on competency and education. All employees go through an introductory period to evaluate starting pay but the minimum is $10 per hour for assistants and $14 for licensed technicians. 401k with profit sharing, health insurance, Aflac, continuing education opportunities, access to AAHA publications and discounted veterinary care (emergency and surgery).
Southern Regional Veterinary Specialists and Southern Regional Veterinary Emergency Services are growing specialty and emergency practices in Southeast Alabama. Both hospitals support local DVMs to provide surgical support and emergency care. Our primary function is to provide these services to surrounding veterinarians and model Compassion, Skill, and Service.
