About the culture: Our hospital culture thrives on collaborative & integrative medicine, as we are hybrid GP and Specialty hospital. Our GP doctors work collectively and symbiotically with each other and with our Specialists. In addition, our structure incorporates the support staff of Certified Technicians and Assistants to be part of this camaraderie, working as peers. We offer a wide array of diagnostics, including onsite radiologists 6 days per week, a 64 slice CT, digital dental radiology, and an onsite reference laboratory, which includes a pathologist. Our GP easily refers and comanages cases with all of the specialty departments. We also have an onsite Board-Certified Anesthesiologist who works with each individual anesthetic case.
To Be Successful in this role: We are seeking an individual who is intrigued by challenge and the potential for departmental development. The Department Head will be a practicing clinician alongside of the other GP doctors and will be expected to lead by example in maintaining a positive and calm demeanor in the face of challenge. The Department Head will work with the Associate Medical Directors and the Hospital Services Manager to continually assess opportunity for growth and improvement of patient services. The Department Head will report to the Associate Medical Director, Medical Director, or Regional Medical Director. We seek an individual with a high emotional intelligence, who possesses innate leadership talent and is able to inspire teammates to model their own behavior. The right candidate will also exhibit a versatile leadership style to support the growth of the General Practice while respecting and maintaining our delicate referral DVM relationships that feed the Specialty practices.
