Description: Pet Emergency Clinic in Greenville, NC, is currently seeking a to add a third full-time after-hours emergency clinician for 10-12 shifts/4 weeks.
Why Pet Emergency Clinic: Pet Emergency Clinic has been locally supported for almost 10 years. During that time, it has experienced amazing growth and has created a strong presence in Eastern North Carolina.
Located in Greenville, North Carolina, a majority of our clientele work at Eastern Carolina University (Go Pirates!) or Vidant Medical Center, the nation’s third largest human trauma center. Greenville is growing and growing fast! With a burgeoning downtown, Greenville is considered the cultural hub of Eastern North Carolina. Enjoy downtown or spend your days locally kayaking or boating on the Tar River. Located in between urban Raleigh and the Crystal Coast, quick trips can be made in either direction still allowing you to sleep in your own bed at night. In addition, our hospital is set up with a doctors’ suite able to host doctors who live out of town. Many folks stay at PEC to work a stretch calling another city home.
PEC has a strong staff who can really focus on the shift when needed while having fun along the way. With Idexx blood analyzers, digital radiology, ultrasound, and a Snyder O2 unit all housed in a new building, PEC allows you to treat complicated cases. Being just 90 minutes from NCSU-CVM, referral is often an option clients agree to. Two days a week, PEC is the home of Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital’s surgery and ultrasound service during normal business hours creating a great collaborative environment with our surgeon. PEC likes to have fun with staff outings, birthday celebrations, and the periodic practical joke. The DVM colleagues all have 10+ years ER experience with much respect for one another’s practice styles. The relationship with the referring community is strong as we are all just aiming to treat the clients and their pets with respect, empathy, and advanced medicine.
