Emergency Veterinarian DVM
Due to fulfilling a life's dream of moving to Alaska, Nebraska Animal Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian. We offer alternative work schedules to ensure our veterinarians maintain a work/life balance. Our Emergency Veterinarians work 3 days one week and 4 days the next week. New Graduates are welcome to apply. We offer mentorship programs that are managed by our Director of Education. Our practice offers the opportunity to join a friendly, fun, caring team with many opportunities for personal and professional growth. A special interest would be encouraged and fostered. Our practice has been a figure of quality medicine for 30+ years. We offer a very competitive compensation package.
We are currently a nine doctor AAHA accredited practice, focusing on internal medicine, surgery, and preventative care. We offer clients advanced technology along with personalized care and education. We maintain a higher than average support staff to doctor ratio so ensure our clients have a great experience and the patients receive the top-notch care they deserve. We have licensed technicians that monitor anesthesia, read lab samples, and assist in exam rooms when needed.
Our recently remodeled facility includes: •Six separate wards •Overnight emergency services •Surgical and Therapy Laser •Physical Therapy including an underwater treadmill •New ultrasound with telemedicine capabilities and the ability to do cardiac screens •Upgraded digital X-ray and digital dental X-ray with telemedicine capabilities •Six exam rooms and a comfort room •Imaging room •Dental suite with full monitoring and warming capabilities •Surgery suite with two surgery tables, full monitoring and warming capabilities, and ventilator capabilities •Laparoscopic surgery, surgical laser, vetscope, and a brand new endoscope •VetNow Telemedicine machine with the ability to consult with board-certified specialists including a criticalist. •Large boarding and daycare facility with a turf play yard •Four groomers and two bathers •Radio Iodine 131 Treatment for cats
