| McKinlay & Peters Equine Hospital is seeking a surgeon to join our 25 year old equine practice in Spokane Washington. We are seeking a candidate with ACVS/ECVS accepted credentials, or board-certified surgeon for this position. Our hospital sees approximately 2000 surgery cases per year. The ideal individual must have a strong interest and background in lameness and orthopedics. However, we would like for the surgeon to be diverse in all aspects of equine surgery, including both respiratory and gastrointestinal as well. We see a wide spectrum of patients and breeds represented. McKinlay & Peters is a well equipped busy 6 doctor, emergency and referral hospital. We serve Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho and the surrounding regions. We have a diverse and broad caseload across many different disciplines ranging from Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Lameness, Sports Medicine, Soft Tissue, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Dentistry, Ambulatory, and Reproduction. We have a state of the art facility for in house equine care and hospitalization equipped with; in house lab, digital ultrasound, digital radiology, endoscopy, laser therapy, high field MRI and more. The candidate will be integrated in the “doctor rotation” to help cover the emergency hours (day, night, weekends and holidays), as well as partake in performing elective surgeries. The candidate should be searching for a long term commitment and enjoys being a team player.
