Cardiology/Ultrasound Fellowship

The School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a two-year, large animal Cardiology/Ultrasound Fellowship. Requirements include a VMD/DVM degree or equivalent, demonstrated interest in large animal ultrasound and cardiology and strong interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will learn to perform and interpret ultrasonographic (musculoskeletal, abdominal, thoracic, other) and cardiovascular examinations in large animals, with emphasis on the equine patient. The fellow will be a critical team member in the day-to-day functioning of the clinical service and will be expected to participate in sonographic examinations, client communication, clinical rounds, journal club, student teaching and, as time permits, ongoing clinical research investigations. Continuing the fellowship in the second year is contingent on satisfactory progress during the first year.
