| We are seeking a special veterinarian to join our team at Companion Animal Hospital of Wakefield. We’re a growing small animal hospital in the Wakefield community of North Raleigh. Our area offers the warmth and feel of a small town with the convenience of nearby big city amenities. The region has miles of well-maintained greenways, local parks, and the Falls Lake Recreation Area for the outdoor enthusiast. Raleigh is centrally located between the beautiful western NC mountains and the beach. Our practice offers small animal wellness care, medicine, surgery, dentistry, doggy day camp, and boarding. Our primary clients are devoted pet lovers who allow us to provide a high level of care. We focus on client service and education and schedule 30 minute appointments. The hospital is equipped with Sound digital radiography, digital dental radiography, a CO2 surgical laser, and K-Laser. There are no after hours emergency duties and we have convenient access to multiple 24 hour care facilities and specialists. We work hard and have fun! Our staff is dedicated, compassionate, and thrives on teamwork. We are fortunate to have a number of long term team members and low turnover. The best candidate would be an individual who enjoys people and their pets and wants to continually develop as a professional. Excellent communication skills are essential. This full time position has a 4 day work week and every other Saturday. Benefits include: Paid Vacation, CE stipend, DEA licensure, NCVMB licensure, AVMA Membership, liability insurance coverage, health insurance stipend. Salary commensurate with experience.
