Yakima Pet Emergency Service (YPES), a part of the SAGE network, is looking for veterinarians who are new to ER. We need doctors at all skill levels to join us in a supportive, collaborative environment.
At YPES, you will work side-by-side with experienced ER doctors who handle a wide range of critical cases and surgeries in a diverse community. You will handle outpatient cases and then shadow seasoned ER doctors on the cases where critical care and surgery are required. We will take a “See One, Do One, Teach One” approach to surgeries.
Who you are: We are looking for veterinarians at all stages of their career, including recent graduates. You will be challenged, you will learn, and your compassion, skills, and ambition will be rewarded.
Some of our values in action:
Collaboration: With multiple specialties supporting the Emergency department, you’ll have the opportunity to share knowledge with a brilliant and diverse community of doctors.
Sustainability: As our industry changes, smaller, doctor-led community practices are becoming rarer. We are constantly enhancing our model and growth strategy to ensure that the SAGE way thrives and spreads, keeping our core values and methods intact.
Compassion: Our work is about caring for living creatures, no matter how many legs they use. We place compassion first for our patients and their people.
Innovation: Top technology and top skills - we are about pushing the envelope to serve our community.
YPES doctors will teach you how to handle these cases and give you independence when you feel ready. You will also have access to the SAGE specialists by phone to help with your patients.
Your experience will be supportive, expansive, and include these perks:
Competitive signing bonus with additional funds for relocation to Yakima, WA.
Yearly trip to the SAGE Annual Symposium in the San Francisco Bay Area. (7 units of CE credit)
Invitation to explore your area of special interest. For example, if you are interested in Internal Medicine or Surgery, we will pair you up with a doctor at one of the SAGE hospitals who you can shadow with during your visit.
Invitation to SAGE journal club (log in via WebEx), where you can contribute to the discussions on articles and case management.
