Veterinarian Technician

We are seeking an experienced technician for our Medical Care Team. Ideal candidates should have prior veterinary experience, a positive mindset, and enjoy working as part of a team.

Position Summary:

A medical care team member's responsibility is to provide assistance to the doctor and other medical care staff members to improve the accuracy and efficiency of hospital flow and patient care.  You will be a representative of St. Matthews Animal Clinic and asked to be a component of our mission to offer the highest standard of care to our community and our patients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a high level of professionalism to staff, clients, and patients
• Surgical Prep and Anesthetic Monitoring
• Pharmacy and pharmacology
• Laboratory testing
• Radiology
• Dentistry
• Client education and instruction
• Perform necessary patient treatments
• Care for Hospitalized Patients

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting as a technician required
• RVT/CVT licensing preferred
• Fear Free knowledge and patient restraint preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly
• Excellent communication skills with both clients and coworkers
