The Estero Animal Hospital, a progressive general practice veterinary hospital located in Southwest Florida, has an immediate opening for a full-time Veterinary Technician position to help us in our busy practice.

Patient care is the primary role of the position but also includes processing laboratory samples, restraint, blood draw, assisting the doctors and maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital setting. Some weekends and holidays will be required. Exceptional customer service is a must.

Tasks to include client communication, telephone communication, admitting and releasing patients, ensuring comfort of the client and patients, as well as other duties deemed necessary by supervisor, manager, or practice owners.

This is a full-time position and over-time eligible after hours per week.

 

 
 

 

Ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills to include the ability to provide service with a smile, multi-tasking capabilities, and the strength to maintain a positive attitude during times of stress.

Veterinary skills include animal restraint, medical protocol/procedures, product knowledge, as well as other pertinent veterinary skill. Certification in Veterinary Technology is a plus but not required.

Schedule will be made to accommodate the needs of the hospital while maintaining full time hours however applicant must be available to work some Saturdays and holidays.

Experience with eVetPractice is a plus but not necessary. Experience of 3 years or more in a veterinary setting is desirable. Ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills.

About Estero Animal Hospital
Estero Animal Hospital is located on the coast of SW Florida, between Fort Myers and Naples. We are a 6 doctor veterinary hospital specializing in small animal care and have been in our current 9,000 sq ft facility for 11 years and entering our 19 year of business. We have seven exam rooms that vary in size and function for our diverse patient needs. We have both a dental and surgical suite and all the modern equipment including new digital radiology, digital dental radiology, cold laser, video otoscope, soft tissue and orthopedic surgical equipment, two in-house Abaxis units, and much more. We are open to adding any equipment that will enhance our practice.
