Are you a GP vet tired of the daily caseload of vaccines and wellness visits, but not quite comfortable tackling the most critical emergencies? Or are you an emergency doctor wanting off overnights but still wanting to see a wide variety of cases? Animal Urgent Care, located in Arvada, Colorado is looking to hire an Urgent Care Veterinarian that focuses on non-critical cases that enter the emergency department.
We are interested in speaking to internship trained candidates and/or experienced GP or ER clinicians for part time or full time positions.
This position will include care and services of non-critical emergencies, to include skin lacerations, vomiting, limping, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc. The proposed schedule will consist of Friday, Saturday, and Monday during peak hours, with no overnights! We are planning to open the Urgent Care in early 2020, but have options to start earlier in our emergency department if desired. There are also opportunities with hybrid Urgent Care/ER positions.
We are a small animal, AAHA certified ER hospital in our 13th year. Our success thus far is due, in large part, to our focus on long-term staff retention. We are open 24/7 and settled into a new building with the latest equipment in 2018.
Benefits include health insurance, 401K, quarterly scrubs, CE allowance, dues and license allowance, VECCS, PLIT, VIN, employee pet discounts, paid time off, and competitive salary that is not dependent upon commission. You are paid for every hour you work, including records.
For the right person, we are happy to discuss housing options, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and potential buy-in opportunities in the future. Come join our team in sunny Colorado! We are located conveniently between Boulder and Denver, and less than an hour from skiing.
