Five doctor AAHA small animal practice looking for a full-time veterinarian. Our practice is located in La Porte, IN which is about 60 miles east of Chicago and 20 miles west of South Bend, Indiana. We strive to practice high quality medicine. Our doctors are a close group and we work together as a team. We are well equipped with Idexx CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, and PT PTT machines, digital x-ray machine, GE ultrasound machine, dental machine, Companion Animal Health laser, tonopen and many other items. We have a large surgery room with two heated surgery tables and four Engler anesthesia machines. We have a lot of Veterinary Orthopedic Implant orthopedic equipment and also do a considerable number of TPLO knee surgeries. We have a Storz Laparoscopic equipment and can do laparoscopic gastropexy and other laparoscopic procedures such as liver biopsy.
We have just finished an addition to our facility. We added a new treatment room that has three wet tables and two full walls of eight foot tall windows to help make your workday a pleasant experience. We added additional exam rooms and also added a rehabilitation room that has a H2O for fitness underwater treadmill. We have two doctors with CCRP certification.
We would be happy to discuss possible employment with both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. New graduates typically work on a base salary and after one year go on a commission-based salary with a guaranteed minimum. Experienced veterinarians also work on a commission with a guaranteed base salary. Also included will be paid health insurance, paid vacation time, CE allowance, and paid local association dues, IVMA dues, and AVMA dues. Veterinarians in our practice are not required to be on call after hours because we are located 12 miles from a 24 hour emergency clinic.
