Ocean State Veterinary Specialists is a large 24/7 emergency and referral practice in Rhode Island, with a referral base that includes the state of Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut, and Southern Massachusetts. There are 18 specialists, 20 emergency doctors, and a well respected internship and residency programs. The support staff is highly trained and committed to providing excellent nursing care and client service. The level of medicine practice on the emergency service is very high, and emergency doctors have the opportunity to continue to learn in a supportive environment. Equipment includes digital radiography, CT scan, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, MRI, and state of the art monitoring equipment as well as an in house laboratory.
