The Humane Society of Atlantic County is seeking an enthusiastic full time Associate Veterinarian. We are a unique facility that allows our Veterinarians to practice medicine in a fast paced environment on both privately owned and shelter animals. Our Hospital has a full In house Idexx laboratory, Digital X-ray, & DVMax.
This team member will be performing wellness & sick exams on both privately owned and shelter animals, and do non emergency surgery.

EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES AND QUALITIES REQUIRED
Veterinary licensure in the State of New Jersey
Work cooperatively with & give instruction to support staff based on Doctor’s specific needs
Provide follow up care for adopted animals
Be able to provide practical recommendations to clients based on animal needs and client financial abilities
Ability to provide leadership and effective communication
Experience in caring for and handling animals in a safe, effective and humane manner, especially larger and possibly untrained animals.
Maturity, good judgment and professional personal appearance including the wearing of neat and clean uniforms
