Useless Bay Animal Clinic is a privately owned, rural small animal hospital located in a friendly, pet-responsible community on scenic Whidbey Island. We are a no drama, fun loving three-doctor practice, with a strong appreciation for balancing work and family. Quality of life is important, not just for our patients, but for our employees as well. We are fully equipped with the necessary diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, endoscope, integrated referral services for cardiology and radiography, in-house laboratory with daily access to a local referral diagnostic lab. There are multiple veterinary referral centers located just across the water for those tough cases and our clients will utilize them if recommended. Ferry and bridge access to the mainland, providing access to Seattle and its commodities while insulating from the bustle and congestion of urban living. We treasure our experienced and established support staff, who love the career as much as we do. We laugh - a LOT. It's our veterinary paradise - open five days a week from 8am to 5pm, with no weekend or emergency duties, focused on providing a 4-day work week for all, thus leaving three days for our staff to enjoy their families, get lost in the mountains or forests, go crabbing, halibut fishing, birdwatch, or whatever suits their fancy.
