Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital, originally founded in 1958, was the first veterinary hospital to be established in Conejo Valley. Today we are a busy, 18+ doctor practice providing care for various animals: dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Our goal is to provide “High quality, compassionate care without judgment.” We have a 17,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that offers general veterinary care, 24/7 emergency pet care, boarding, bathing, and doggy day camp.
Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital is separated into two different departments, hospital/treatment and customer service (front office staff). This role is to lead the hospital/treatment team. Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care through engaged personnel and hands-on management that supports effective business operations KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following: · Develops analyzes, and updates CVVH’s expense budget for areas of responsibility · Adheres to and manages the approved budget · Responsible for overseeing the recruitment, interview process, and hiring of staff · Ensures employee competence, training and effectiveness through supervisor feedback and direct observation as well as staff performance and salary reviews · Improves employee satisfaction, retention, and engagement · Assigns job responsibilities to supervisors/hospital coordinators and delegates as necessary · Responsible for policy enforcement as well as overseeing disciplinary actions and terminations · Organizes and conducts staff meetings · Meets regularly with supervisors to discuss, evaluate, and plan for the welfare of the hospital · Oversees client flow to ensure that clients and patients are seen and treated in a safe, professional, timely, and competent manner · Helps establish standards for the safe care of patients · Takes ownership of client issues/complaints related to the hospital and follows problems through to resolution (complaints) · Oversee billing, calculations of any discounts and other special accounts · Monitor the staff scheduling so that the department operates within budget · Monitor and approve all expenditures within Compassion-First guidelines · Other duties as assigned As part of NVA, Conejo Valley veterinary Hospital offers a competitive compensation and benefits package with exceptional recognition for performance, and we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
