The Regional Veterinary Referral Center is looking for an emergency veterinarian to join our amazing team! We will consider full-time, part-time, or relief candidates.
The Regional Veterinary Referral Center (RVRC) is one of the oldest and most well respected veterinary specialty centers in Washington D.C./Northern Virginia area. Our motto ‘We Love Them like You Do’ is where it begins and ends with us, remembering that each patient we care for is loved and is special to someone. Our goal is to offer outstanding, compassionate, empathetic and professional veterinary specialty care. Simply stated, we offer the very best care to our patients while understanding the client’s needs and tailoring the care offered to meet these needs.
The RVRC is centrally located near Washington DC and receives referrals from across the Mid-Atlantic region. We offer specialty care in cardiology, emergency/critical care, internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, neurology, radiation oncology, medical oncology and rehabilitative medicine with a licensed veterinary physical therapist. In addition to our specialties, our center houses an I-131 treatment center (Radiocat), ultrasound, digital radiography, linear accelerator, CT and an MRI unit. Our in house diagnostic center allows you to get rapid and accurate patient analytic data to make informed patient decisions. You can learn more at: https://vetreferralcenter.com/.
Our emergency doctors see a wide variety of cases, have the opportunity to cut their own cases, and have guidance from the senior emergency doctors, including our board certified criticalist and medical director, Dr. Megan Kees. We also have a wonderful hospital manager who truly cares about the well-being of every employee, especially during this crazy time! We offer a flexible schedule, which allows for a great work/life balance. Furthermore, thinking about what to make for dinner after an emergency shift is usually the last thing on your mind, so we would be happy to pay for a meal delivery service (Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, etc.) to keep you well fed and eliminate the need for meal planning and grocery shopping!
Springfield, Virginia is located just outside of Washington, D.C. You can explore the historic sites, visit the National Zoo, enjoy the amazing restaurants, shows, and nightlife, or catch a game. We're also close to Shenandoah National Park and all the outdoors has to offer.
At RVRC, we take the health and well-being of our employees seriously, offering flexible working conditions and encouraging a well-rounded work/life balance. We offer a great compensation package, including a competitive salary, health insurance, 401K, PTO, generous CE allowance, additional PTO for CE, SIGNING BONUS, and reimbursement for membership dues and license fees. If this sounds like a team you want to be a part of, please email your resume to Danny Lewis at email@example.com or apply at https://www.petvetcareers.com/.
