Arroyo Vista Veterinary Hospital, an AAHA accredited practice, is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our practice!
Arroyo Vista Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited hospital and is located in the heart of Moorpark in the beautiful Ventura County. Founded in 2004 by Dr. John Gonda. We have grown from a very small practice to a multimillion dollar veterinary office with over 20 staff members. We specialize in small animal medicine and surgery, seeing primarily dogs and cats, as well as pocket pets.
With over 2,000 square feet of working space, including a complete surgical suite, in-house laboratory, digital radiography including dental x-rays and ultrasound, you will have all the room and equipment needed to provide the best care possible. We also have an attached grooming salon and Doggie Day Camp you can take advantage of for your own pets (you can even watch them on our Day Camp Webcams)!
While our staff may be large, many have worked at AVVH for over 10 years. We are extremely proud of our staff retention and attribute it to our family like working environment, competent management, and highly skilled leadership from our Doctors.
This is a great opportunity for a new grad looking to learn for 2 experienced DVM’s!
Great work/life balance with 4-day work weeks. We are also closed on Sundays and open only 5 hours on Saturday.

Mentorship and support for veterinarians at all levels and experience

ABOUT MOORPARK , CALIFORNIA:
Moorpark is a small town in eastern Ventura County with a wide demographic range of residents. From new families purchasing their first homes, to families in our surrounding rural areas that have been here for generations, and even students from our local Moorpark College’s Exotic Animal Training Program, we are fortunate to see people, and pets, from all walks of life.
The role of Veterinarian is the most essential role in the Hospital. You are responsible for creating treatment plans for each of your patients and seeing them through. Treatments, procedures, prescriptions, recommendations, and anything else pertaining to patient care is at your discretion. You are also responsible for helping to build and maintain a strong, well-functioning team by providing clear direction and education when needed. The staff will look to you for guidance and reassurance that we are always doing what is best for the animals as well as the practice. You are also to work with the Hospital Manager and co-owners, Dr. John Gonda & Dr. Mike Villano, on setting protocols and best practices for the Hospital.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
