Conaree Equine, INC was established in 2013 and has become a rapidly growing practice in southern Maine.  Case load is approximately 95% equine and 5% small ruminant.  The client base is diverse and consists of all types of disciplines from pleasure/trail horses to high level show horses and harness racing horses.  Conaree Equine is currently an ambulatory/out-patient (truck in) practice, we also offer medical board for a variety of cases.  Our home base is a 14 acre farm with an office and 10 stall barn.  Ambulatory vehicle will be provided for associate.

The case load has grown to a point where it is difficult for a single doctor to keep up and we are currently fieldling multiple calls a week for new client inquires.  Number of work days per week and schedule is flexible and can be discussed and shaped for applicant’s needs.  Emergency/On call duty is currently shared with three other practices and the new applicant would be required to be included in that rotation and to also attend the monthly meetings for that association.  The applicant must be a team player, have excellent communication skills, and have a basic knowledge of all aspects of general equine medicine.  New grads are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Compensation will be a base salary plus production bonuses.  Benefits include health insurance reimbursement, emergency fees, professional dues and CE allowance.
