Northgate Pet Clinic is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian at our 8-doctor practice located in Decatur, the heart of Illinois. New grads are welcome!

We are a well-established, AAHA-accredited, Board Certified Dental, full-service small animal veterinary hospital. We provide comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care for canine, feline, exotic, pocket pets and a small number of Zoo animal (Tiger’s anyone)?   

Any interest in expanding your day-to-day duties?  We remain continuously engaged in a variety of clinical trials and perform extensive soft tissue, dental and orthopedic surgeries daily.

Looking for mentoring, training and support?  We offer both individualized and team-structured training.  We have a large staff of 40+ (many are Fear-Free Certified), including a very talented brigade of technicians and assistants.

For new graduates of the classes of 2021 and 2022, this position will be included in the NVA Illinois Mentorship Program. In this program, our ADVMs will have access to:

• One on one surgical and medical support from Dr. Sandra Faeh, current VP of AVMA, an NVA practice owner, and Illinois Mentor
• Suite of wellness programming focusing on stress management and cultivating a balanced approach to your life
• Cohort of other new graduate ADVMs in Illinois with planned social events, team bonding, and engagement, regardless of current clinic worked in          

We are primarily appointment-based, accept occasional walk-in’s and provide emergency after-hour care for our clients. This is a full-time position that offers 40 hours per week with a rotating Saturday schedule of 2x 8-5 p.m. and 1x 12-5 p.m.  On-call includes 1 weekend per month between the doctor staff. We are closed on Sundays and holidays.

We offer a very large variety of cases, we’ve done it all and seen it all!  We are looking for a veterinarian who has interest in providing a wide variety of services ranging from wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics and complex surgical procedures. We provide services to a high number of breeders, Reproduction experience would be a plus.  Interest in Cardiology?  This role would be for you too!

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed
• Experience with exotics preferred but not required
• Background check and drug screen required
