Are you unhappy with your current job? Are you looking for a more emotionally stable practice? Do you work for a corporate veterinary practice that doesn’t value your ideas and treats you like a cog in the corporate machine? How about a better work-life balance? Consider Franktown Animal Clinic.
Who We Are
Franktown Animal Clinic is looking for a full- or part-time associate veterinarian. We have been providing expert veterinary care in the Southeast Denver area since 1990. Our new medical center is one of the largest and best-equipped in the Denver area, but it’s really our people who make us different from other clinics. We have a strong belief in treating our patients, clients and staff with compassion and respect. Our veterinarians are able to focus on being doctors because they are supported by a highly-trained staff. We all genuinely like and VALUE each other here! Everyone has a voice and no one is replaceable. Many of our staff members have been with us for years. We also have an appreciative clientele that our doctors know and love.
Our Culture
We pride ourselves in giving our doctors the time, freedom, tools, and staff needed to provide high-quality medicine. We have a great small-town, family feel, unlike many corporately owned practices, and we intend to keep it that way. We understand life as a veterinarian can be stressful, so we are dedicated to providing you with emotional and financial stability. We realize our doctors are humans, not money-making robots, and truly care about their wellbeing.
Our doctors are genuine friends, and bounce ideas off each other regularly. We enjoy discussing cases and providing mentorship whenever it is needed. We encourage lifelong learning and are open to fresh ideas. You will see a lot of cool, unique, interesting cases here, along with clients who are eager and dedicated to working these cases up.
You’ll receive a full 1-hour lunch break to clear your head each day, lots of free lunches, and a solid work-life balance. Our close tie with emergency and referral hospitals enables our doctors to enjoy no after-hours emergency or on-call shifts. When you are off, you are off (and free to enjoy the beautiful mountains of Colorado!). We are closed Sundays.
Our Clinic
We take pride in our extensive knowledge and application of both conventional Western medical therapies as well as alternative treatments such as acupuncture, laser therapy and natural remedies. Our practice is equipped with:
- Digital radiographs
- Digital dental radiographs
- Ultrasound
- Full surgical suite
- Idexx in-house lab equipment
- EzyVet practice management software
We’ve taken care of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit dogs and therapy dogs for almost 20 years and are co-founders of Friends of Douglas County K-9, a charity that raises money exclusively for the care of retired K-9s.
Our Benefits
Applicants must possess a Doctoral degree (DVM) and be licensed to practice in the State of Colorado. Salary is commensurate with experience. We offer a flexible 4-day work week. You will enjoy excellent benefits including health and dental insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contribution, paid personal time off, and a CE and travel allowance.
We are located in beautiful Franktown, Colorado, in the heart of Douglas County. Franktown is quiet, pristine, and has an abundance of natural beauty, while still only being 45 minutes away from the Denver metropolitan area. It is also a wonderful area to raise a family. We have excellent well-rounded schools, and a safe, welcoming culture. Plus, there are countless opportunities to play and explore the mountains! If you like hiking, skiing, snowboarding, or horseback riding, there is no better place to call home.
