Animal Care Daybreak is a new 10,000 sq ft hospital (opened in 2019), nestled in the heart of the Daybreak community in South Jordan, Utah. Daybreak is a Master-planned, active, young and growing community of over 4k acres.  Our hospital is a short walk or bike to  parks, pools, restaurants, shopping and schools. We are a 20-minute drive to Salt Lake City proper, 30 minutes to the International Airport, and 45 minutes from world-renowned skiing , hiking, fly fishing and rock climbing in the Wasatch Mountains. With several restaurants within walking distance of the clinic, you will never be far from food and drinks. 

We are looking for two veterinarians, one Small Animal specific, and One Exotic specific. We offer exotic mentorship with Dr Laura Boehler (UC Davis), our full time Exotic Veterinarian. Dr. Pam Nichols (practice owner) offers mentoring through MentorVet, or less structured depending on a candidate’s wishes. New grads with high EQ are welcomed with open arms. 

We are a state-of-the-art hospital offering: 

• Small Animal care Monday through Friday 7:30am -5:30pm 
• Exotic Animal care Friday through Monday 8am- 6pm 
• AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) Accredited 
• Mentorship with Dr. Pam Nichols – Immediate Past AAHA President
• Staff Ratio minimum 2-3 Nurses Plus shared assistants per DVM per day, usually more (We are very well staffed with a talented and well-utilized team!).

• No on-call or emergency duty. 
• 2 Fully Furnished Surgical suites with all the bells and whistles. 
• Laparoscopic Surgery, with training on minimally invasive surgery! 
• Digital Radiographs and Digital Dental Radiographs
• 1 Traditional Ultrasound and 1 Clarius Hand-held Ultrasound
• Rehab Department with Dedicated Nurse
  • Underwater treadmill, Laser Therapy, Shockwave Therapy, Thera-plate
• Fear Free Attributes
  • Couch/comfort rooms, multiple certified staff, feline friendly
