The clinician will be primarily responsible for continued maintenance of the existing clinical service and teaching program through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).  This is a clinical track position. The clinician will provide veterinary care to cattle, horses, swine, dogs and poultry owned by the TDCJ. The individual will provide both individual animal care as well as herd and management service. The clinician will be a member of a team of four veterinarians and one technician that serve as liaison between the personnel from TDCJ farm units, TDCJ Agriculture Headquarters and Texas A&M University, Departments of Large and Small Animal Clinical Sciences, Texas Animal Health Commission, and Texas Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.
