Here is the job description for the position in Corpus Christi, Texas.
We are looking for an additional veterinarian surgeon to work for our non-profit spay/neuter clinic. The person hired will mainly be working in our surgery clinic with an occasional need to work our wellness clinic. . We will train you and you will get to that salary quickly. We give evaluations with performance raises every 90 days the first year to get the salary up quickly. WE WILL OFFER YOU HIGH VOLUME SURGERY TRAINING! We will also assist with moving expenses and offer many benefits for our staff!
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for daily care of all surgical patients, ensuring all clinic staff members are adhering to proper pre-, peri- and post-operative care of patients. During designated training sessions, responsible for training participants in all aspects of patient care and efficient/safe clinic practices, maintaining a professional and friendly manner at all times. Must be a licensed veterinarian in the state of Texas and be able to maintain all current and correct licensure. Some of the job functions that are needed for this position include examine animals pre-operatively to determine their ability to withstand surgery, perform surgery and sterilizations, exam animals post- operatively, supervise handling and recording of controlled substances by veterinary technicians, communicate with staff and the director about issues concerning staff or training protocols, all other duties as assigned.
