Who we are: Our medical teams have a reputation for delivering a high level of coaching and mentoring to doctors at all levels of their career. We are seeking part-time or full-time Emergency doctor who is looking for flexibility (and the occasional change of scenery) to travel between our California and Washington hospitals.
Who you are: This is a unique role for a doctor who wants to push their skills and experience different hospital settings, while avoiding the relief-schedule scramble.
We’re seeking an experienced or internship-trained emergency doctor who loves to travel and is passionate about the challenges of emergency medicine for this role. Our hospitals are a mix of Emergency and Specialty and ER-only, and we provide daily opportunities to collaborate with specialties that include Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Surgery and Ophthalmology. If you enjoy Emergency surgery, your skills will be highly sought after in our Washington hospitals. When you work in California, you will have the support of board-certified surgeons.
General Job Description: Our Traveling Emergency doctor will work within the Emergency/Critical Care/Urgent Care departments in our hospitals. You will have primary case responsibility and receiving responsibilities, and in some locations you will work alone and perform all Emergency surgeries. We support learning and professional growth, and will provide opportunities to deepen your skills in ultrasound and Emergency surgery.
Schedule: A full-time schedule is 10-14 shifts per month and part-time is 6-9 shifts per month; both of which leave you time to create your own schedule and true work life balance. Shifts are a mix of days, swings, and some overnights, with holiday coverage shared by the emergency doctors within the hospital.
Locations: California, Bay Area: (San Francisco, Redwood City, Concord, Dublin, Campbell and Santa Barbara, CA); Washington, central (Yakima and Pasco)
Our values in action: Collaboration: With multiple specialties supporting our Emergency departments, you’ll have the opportunity to share knowledge with a community of brilliant and diverse team of doctors
Sustainability: As our industry changes, smaller, doctor led community practices are becoming more and more rare. We are constantly enhancing our model and growth strategy to ensure that the SAGE way thrives and spreads, keeping our core values and methods intact.
Compassion: Our work is about caring for living creatures, no matter how many legs they use. We place compassion first for our patients and their people, as well as for each other.
Innovation: Top technology and top skills, we are about pushing the envelope to serve our community
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package with generous employer cost sharing that includes medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, commuter benefits, cell phone plan, California licensing fees, liability insurance, uniforms, veterinary association memberships, CE reimbursement annually, ultrasound training, a 401(k) plan that can include employer contributions of up to 3% each year.
Travel costs and living accommodations paid.
Multi-State Licensure reimbursement.
