Cumberland Veterinary Clinic LLC, located in Enola, PA, is in search of an Associate Veterinarian. CVC was opened in November 2021 and has rapidly grown since opening our doors. At CVC, we pride ourselves on having a slow-paced, laid-back environment. We believe in treating our clients and patients how we would like to be treated, while also providing a positive work environment for all employees. All team members work 4 days per week with no weekends, on call, or after hour duties. All of our appointments are 30 minutes long, with a 30 minute buffer at the beginning and end of the day to try to make sure you can leave on time. CVC is a privately owned clinic with no corporate affiliations. We want our associate veterinarians to be involved in the clinic and have input in all of our clinic policies, including best medical practices and protocols, practice management, staff education, and COVID-19 protocols. This is NOT a position where you will be forced to practice in a certain way or style- we want you to practice in a way that works for you and your patients!
A variety of species are treated at Cumberland Veterinary Clinic, including but not limited to dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, pet birds, pet geese, chickens, snakes, turtles, bearded dragons, iguanas, pot bellied pigs, sheep, and goats. An associate veterinarian is able choose what species they would like to see and are not required to see exotics. This is a great opportunity to work as a mixed animal vet (if desired) without having to perform undesirable duties such as on-call work, having to drive to distant farm calls, working outside in the elements, or seeing after hours emergencies. All appointments are performed in the clinic.
CVC boosts an impressive array of equipment, including cloud-based practice management systems, full in-house blood work, digital general radiology, digital dental radiology, electrocautery, electric surgical lift tables, fluid pumps, digital multiparameter patient monitors, patient warming equipment, and a fully equipped dental station. All of our equipment was bought new and is less than 1 year old. We believe in practicing a high standard of care for our patients and require blood work for all dogs and cats undergoing surgery. We place catheters for all anesthetic procedures and have full patient monitoring including HR, RR, ECG, SpO2, NiBP, EtCO2, and temperature monitoring. Sterile surgical gowns are utilized for all surgeries in which the abdomen is entered or in any procedure deemed necessarily by the veterinarian.
We are open to veterinarians of all skill levels and experiences, including new graduates. If you are a new or recent graduate, we will establish a training plan for you to ensure you can transition into general practice smoothly. We will also provide as much mentorship and career guidance as you would like. CVC wants you to love the veterinary field and achieve your full potential as a veterinarian. We are also very open to providing mentorship and training plans to vets who have been practicing for a while but feel as though they need more guidance than they are currently receiving.
