Looking for immediate hire. Denham Springs Animal Hospital, a full service privately owned, walk-in practice for everything but surgeries and grooms is looking to hire two full time veterinarians. We have three exam rooms, kennel-boarding facility, Iso/ICU small treatment room, and a surgery building with two surgery tables. Dr. Bobby Welch, and his son, Dr. Walter Welch own the practice and work along side with our other full time veterinarian Dr. Regan Rossi. We are a fast-paced clinic that is open Monday- Friday 7:00-5:30 and Saturdays 7:00-12:00. We do surgeries Monday- Friday by appointments only, but all other services from vaccines, injuries, and any other issues are walk ins. We have multiple machines available in house to run diagnostics such as: 2 IDEXX machines to offer bloodwork tests, ultrasounds, and digital radiographs. We also use LSU Diagnostic Lab for any further testing needed with same day courier pick up services. Our full time doctors typically work Monday-Friday with accommodated hours along with Saturdays or can choose to have one day off a week that works best with our schedule. The position starts as hourly with overtime hours available until fully adjusted and established, then moves to salary as decided upon management with own personal contract available. Health insurance is offered after 60 days, license fees and AVMA dues paid for, and all major holidays off. All applicants must be licensed in Louisiana and be eligible for liability insurance. We also offer a paid preceptorship for graduates who are needing to complete their preceptorship as well!
