Norwood Animal Clinic is an AAHA accredited small animal practice that prides itself on providing a high standard of medicine, personalized patient care, and an excellent client experience since 1968. We are located in Milwaukee, WI, just on the northwest side of Milwaukee County (bordering Menomonee Falls and Wauwatosa, right off of Highway 41).
Norwood’s longevity in the community has led to a very loyal clientele even when faced with changes in the normal ebb and flow of progressive medicine. Norwood has been very fortunate to have support staff that has faithfully served and supported it consistently – some of whom are coming up on 20 years of tenure with us! Our team is thorough, compassionate, and believes in handling our patients with calm, gentle, fear free methods. We strive to create a burn-out free environment that is fun and where everyone enjoys coming to work every day.
We have been operating as a 1.5 FTE DVM practice since 2017, however we are looking to expand. One of our associate veterinarians has recently decided to focus on her own mobile practice and while we are super sad to see her go, we wish her all the best!
What You Can Offer
We are seeking to add 1 to 2 full time associate veterinarians to join our team and help with our expanding services, clientele needs, and revenue growth. All candidates must be a licensed DVM or equivalent (or have the ability to become licensed) in the State of Wisconsin.
We offer a variety of equipment to help us provide the level of care we hold ourselves to, such as digital radiography, ultrasound, surgical laser, cold laser therapy and the addition of digital dental radiography in the future.
Our ideal candidate(s) is a motivated and inspired individual, exuding in professionalism, seeking to grow in their career, establish roots with our clientele in our community, and help us take Norwood into the next phase of its growth as a practice. Candidate(s) should have a passion for practicing a high standard of preventive, surgical, and medicinal care and possess the ability to perform, at a minimum, elective surgeries and oversee dental procedures. Candidate(s) must also be able to help maintain a positive work environment and staff culture and lead by example.
Besides the basic skills of a general practitioner, we enjoy having doctors and support staff willing to collaborate as a team, share ideas, develop progressive standards of care, and provide mentorship that makes a practice and work environment successful. All levels of experience are welcome to interview, especially if you feel you meet what we are looking for!

Blue River PetCare's mission is to provide a long-term home for local practices that selling owners have worked so hard to build. We are dedicated to retaining the culture of each of our hospitals in addition to the local practice of medicine. We do this by ensuring each hospital has complete medical autonomy with their choice of protocols, therapies, inventory items, vendors and even management software. We also focus on our employees’ health and well-being as much as we do the pets we treat. We would love to hear from you!
