Buffalo Veterinary Clinic , a full-service, mixed animal practice with a loyal client base, is seeking an associate veterinarian! This is a great opportunity for experienced veterinarians or new graduates who are interested in a mixture of veterinary cases and professional growth! Our practice encompasses small and large animals. New associates may choose to focus on one or all of the above. Two well experienced veterinarians are willing and able to mentor in all aspects of the practice.
Our mixed animal (family owned) clinic is in rural Buffalo, Wyoming located at the base of the Big Horn Mountains! It is 60% small animal and 40% bovine, equine, and small ruminants. The building includes a large animal haul In area for bovine and equine work as well as as an indoor boarding barn. The small animal area has 3 exam rooms, surgery suite, dental station, full IDEXX lab station for both small and Large animal. Small animal digital X-ray, portable equine digital X-ray, 4 ultrasound units for small and large animal. We also have two silencer hydraulic portable chutes for herd work. Our veterinarians share on call responsibilities so help shoulder the work life balance and still take care of our client needs.
Practicing quality veterinary care and services make us a referral clinic for other clinics sending orthopedic surgery for small animals as well as equine and haul in cattle work. . Nearby sale barn keeps us busy with herd work and inspection of livestock at weekly sales.
Experienced and trained team members make this clinic run smooth allowing veterinarians plenty of hands-on support. The community is family-orientated with an outstanding school system. Recreational opportunities include rodeo, hunting, fishing, camping and boating on the nearby Big Horn Mountains.

Surgery skills: bovine OB, basic equine surgery (castrations, lacerations) companion animal general surgery
Horse soundness and diagnostic experience

Equine Reproduction as well as lameness
Strong diagnostic skills w/ Digital X-ray and Lab work results
Excellent communication & social skills w/ clients & team members
Self-starter with a strong work ethic, not above picking up after yourself
