Cat Care Clinic is a six-doctor, feline-only facility seeking an Associate DVM to join our AAHA-accredited team. We have served the beautiful Madison community for over 35 years and were voted “Best of Madison”! We provide only the best care for cats and the highest level of service for clients with two locations: one in the excitement of downtown and another brand new, 7,500 sq ft cat haven on the west side.
Within our facilities, you’ll find a team-oriented atmosphere where wellness and quality of life are prioritized for our staff. You’ll also enjoy a four-day work week without emergency duties and a Saturday rotation every 5 – 6 weeks – all with assistance from a skilled team of CVTs and support staff.
Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or a recent graduate, it’s also our goal to advance your professional development. Our warm network of skilled professionals collaborates daily and would love to offer their mentorship and support. We also have the latest in diagnostic equipment: ultrasound, digital radiographs, therapeutic class IV laser, and specialized dental equipment & dental radiographs. Need to refer for a specialist consultation? We have that covered too with access to a local internist and neurologist for consults and on-site care.
We expect that as a veterinary professional, you will have basic surgical skills and understand the day-to-day requirements of seeing and treating patients. In addition to those duties, we’re looking for a candidate with Wisconsin veterinary licensure (or the ability to obtain), exemplary communication skills (client-facing and internal with our incredible team), a compassionate & understanding attitude, and a commitment to high-quality care.
An offer from us will include competitive compensation and a well-rounded benefits package including:
Generous salary commensurate with experience
Signing bonus and/or relocation assistance, up to $20,000
Medical, dental, and vision insurance with shared premiums
Practice-sponsored life insurance
401(k) eligibility with employer match
Annual continuing education stipend
Paid time-off for personal use and to attend CE
In-house development programs for new graduates and experienced Associates
Sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with wellness initiatives
Paid AVMA PLIT policy coverage
Reimbursement of all licensure and DEA fees

Blue River PetCare's mission is to provide a long-term home for local practices that selling owners have worked so hard to build. We are dedicated to retaining the culture of each of our hospitals in addition to the local practice of medicine. We do this by ensuring each hospital has complete medical autonomy with their choice of protocols, therapies, inventory items, vendors and even management software. We also focus on our employees’ health and well-being as much as we do the pets we treat. We would love to hear from you!
