The East Holmes Veterinary Clinic in Berlin, Ohio is an eight-doctor, full service mixed animal practice providing quality medical and surgical services. Established in 1986, we are located in the heart of the world’s largest Amish settlement and are heavily vested in this tight knit family-oriented community. Our main hospital is fully equipped with complete laboratory and diagnostic equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, Imagyst, ultrasounds, large animal hospitalization and isoflurane anesthesia. We also operate a satellite wellness facility as well as two grooming shops and a boarding Facility.

Full-time associates have their choice of either a 4- 10 hour or 5- 8 hour work week with a rotating on call shift on weekends. Emergency fee bonus paid per call on emergency work.  We are currently fortunate to have a veterinarian who provides all weeknight emergency coverage.

Our heavy case load is very diverse: 50% commercial canine breeding enterprises, 25-30% large animal, 20-25% pet practice and boarding and grooming. Many of our dairy and equine accounts are also involved in the commercial breeding industry. The commercial kennel work comprises progressive reproductive services (TCI, surgical AI, frozen semen, C-sections), regulatory work (health certificates, kennel inspections, ODA & USDA licensures), and litter exams. Just as our dairies, many of our kennels have regular monthly consultations. Much of our equine work is reproductive and regulatory in addition to traditional equine services. We also provide surgical services for 2 county Humane Societies and numerous rescue groups.

We currently have one full time associate DVM position open.  Experienced veterinarians and new graduates interested in both small and large animal are encouraged to apply.
