If you are a veterinarian looking to break away from the traditional model of rushed, over-booked, one-size-fits-all appointments apply to All 4 Paws Animal Hospital today!
I started All 4 Paws because I was tired of having 10 minutes or less to spend in rooms with my clients and patients and wanted a place where I could ensure the comfort of the pet was the priority. It is so easy to burnout in this career from the emotional, mental, and physical strain that I wanted to design a clinic where the focus was on the staff's quality of life and not how much money we could make in a day. If the highest salary you can find is your sole drive, we're not for you as quality of life is my main goal not profit. But if you want a consistent day off every week, work only 35-40 hours a week, have longer appointment times so you have the time to get to know your patients and clients and ensure the best care, have time for a life outside of work as you only work from 9am-1pm one Saturday a month and very rarely work late, get an hour lunch break every day, want to be valued for your strengths, and work at a place that is happy for feedback to create the best work environment for you then we're for you. At our practice we never overbook and your appointment time for wellness and sick visits is 40 minutes and 20 minutes for rechecks so you have plenty of time to do a thorough job and still have time to finish your record before moving on to the next room. Communication is also key to a well run hospital so we have daily team meetings and exceptional client communication.
What I am looking for is the right fit - someone who matches our culture, has excellent bedside manner, and cares about their team mates, patients, and clients. Ideally that person would have at least 1 years' experience, be full-time, and treat exotics as well as cats and dogs so we can continue to offer that service to our clients, but I'm open to whatever the right person can offer. For full time, your schedule would be Mondays 8am-7pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 8:15am-6pm, and the second Saturday of the month from 9am-1pm with an hour lunch break all weekdays. For part time, I ideally would have someone who works at least 2 days a week - ideally Monday and Thursday.
Primary responsibilities include compassionate care of our patients and exceptional client care. Our ideal candidate has an upbeat and friendly attitude. Our team is driven by our mission to provide a level of care for the family pets in our community equal to the care our pets have for us! The core values vital to our success are: * We don't just HEAR, we LISTEN * We RISE by LIFTING OTHERS * We EMPOWER with EDUCATION * More KISSES, Less HISSES (create FUN every day!) Ideally, we would like to hire a veterinarian with at least 1 years’ experience who treats small mammals (rats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc) in addition to canines and felines and is looking to make a career at our hospital. The veterinarian you are replacing treated small mammals and we could like to continue to offer that service since Dr. Dorsett only treats dogs and cats, but it is not a necessity as there are exotic clinics in the area who can service those small mammals. But again, all candidates will be considered.
Full-time Benefits: • $3,000 in cash each year to cover cost of CE, veterinary licenses, liability insurance, uniforms, etc • VIN access • 3 paid days off for CE • 1 week of paid-time off to start along with paid holidays (including the week we are closed from Christmas to New Year’s).
If you're looking for a slower paced clinic where you will have the time to foster a relationship with patients and clients and will actually love coming to work every day, then submit your resume AND cover letter (telling us why you would be a good fit for our team) via email to Dr. Emily Dorsett at neighborhoodvet@gmail.com. Resumes submitted without a cover letter will not be considered.
Our hiring process involves 5 stages: cover letter and resume submission, All 4 Paws Veterinarian Employment Application completion (will be sent to applicable candidates via email), a phone interview, an in-person interview, and a check of the applicant’s references. The top candidates of each stage will be advanced to the next stage of the hiring process until the right vet for our hospital is found. Everyone will be informed of their status by email.
A background check, reference check of former employers and co-workers, and drug test are mandatory. You must be able to lift and carry fifty pounds of weight. You must have a license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of North Carolina and be vaccinated against COVID-19.
"We believe the joy of being loved by a pet elevates us. We exist to bring them a level of care equal to how they care for us."
If a client is looking for a clinic based on more than cost alone, we love to show them how we’re better!
Many clients switch to our hospital because they are tired of sitting in busy, noisy waiting rooms to see an unfamiliar vet who rushes in and out of the room to see as many pets in a day as possible.
We believe this traditional, high-volume model of veterinary care is not good enough. Helping a pet live their best life requires more time and thoughtful communication than can occur during a typical 15 minute appointment. We don’t just want to treat our patient's problems; we want to empower their owners with education to prevent problems in the first place. We believe that a visit to the veterinarian should not be a stressful or traumatic event for anyone.
At All 4 Paws, clients experience the value of our longer appointment times and care that is individual for their pet.
