Harney County Veterinary Clinic in Burns, Oregon is a true mixed animal practice that is looking for an associate veterinarian or team of associate veterinarians to join our team. We are a thriving and growing practice with a current case load of 60% small animal with some exotics, 30% beef cattle and small ruminant, 10% equine. We provide in-house care in our spacious clinic which has dedicated areas for both small and large animals. For our small animal and exotic patients, our clinic boasts amenities such as two exam rooms, surgery suite, newly upgraded digital radiology, full Heska in-house laboratory machines, and dentistry. Our facility is also fully equipped for our large animal patients with indoor hydraulic chute, separate obstetrics chute, horse stalks and fully enclosed, padded large surgery room. Our outdoor large animal facility includes full working pens, push tub, and adjustable alleyway, loading chute, and automatic waterer for boarding and day use. In addition to in-house care, we also provide on-site, ranch services to our multitude of patients including herd work and limited small animal home care as well as large and small animal boarding services on site. Our facility also houses a newly remodeled apartment.
We are looking for motivated individuals who have exceptional client communication skills, superior patient care, and a strong work ethic. New graduates as well as seasoned veterinarians are welcome to apply. Our current support staff is full time and includes one Certified Veterinary Technician with 16+ years of experience, one Receptionist, one Inventory Manager/Receptionist, and one to two assistants with room to grow!
This position can be your oyster with several areas of the practice which can be expanded upon, including but not limited to large animal reproduction, equine medicine and lameness evaluation, small animal orthopedic surgery, and so much more. This position could be filled with a single veterinarian or a pair of veterinarians whose skills and services complement each other. We currently are a single doctor practice but now is the time for expansion. With the addition of a CVT in the past year, our clinic abilities and case load have exploded.
