Mulford Animal Hospital is a privately owned and operated practice serving the Rockford, IL community since 1978. Dogs and cats are our focus but we also care for pocket pets and exotics. Nestled in the southeast corner of Rockford, known as the Forest City, we have access to an abundance of large beautiful forest preserves throughout the county. We also have affordable cost of living with wonderful downtown amenities and restaurants. Our location is ideal with both country or suburban living at your fingertips and Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago just over an hour away.
COHESIVE TEAM: We believe in the true word of TEAM and support our staff in all aspects of the field. Maintaining a flexible work life balance is especially important and we will work with our new hire on developing a schedule that works for them. Advancement in career and knowledge is another item we believe in whole heartedly and love when our staff brings new ideas and goals to the table. We encourage growth in our staff and understand the value it brings to our hospital to develop new ideas and skills. Our owner has been actively involved in academia, mentoring, and organized veterinary medicine throughout her career and looks forward to helping our future hire further develop their skills.
QUALITY MEDICINE: We strive to treat pets as if they are our own by focusing on providing high quality care for our patients throughout their lifetime from preventative medicine at first visits to extra sensitivity with end-of-life care. While dogs and cats are our focus, we also care for pocket pets and exotics (not required but encouraged). We not only attend continuing education seminars individually and as a clinic but have quarterly education staff meetings to maintain our knowledge as a team from top to bottom. Our collaborative approach allows continuity between our staff and reflects in the satisfaction of our clients, who are well established and easy to work with.
LARGE SUPPORT STAFF RATIO: MAH has one full time and one part time doctor currently with over 53 years of experience combined. We have one office manager/CVT and support staff of 6 CVTs, 2 VAs, 3 receptionists and 2 kennel assistants. Our collaborative approach allows continuity between our staff and reflects in the satisfaction of our clients, who are well established and easy to work with. Our support staff has been cross trained so they can be utilized by our doctors to create a less stressful and more efficient work day.
