Associate Veterinarian Position for Private Practice Available in Central Illinois
We are currently seeking a veterinarian to join our team at Green Prairie Animal Hospitals, which are all busy and growing animal hospitals located in Sherman, Lincoln and San Jose, Illinois. We are looking for a talented, friendly, and passionate veterinarian who is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and their families.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and be licensed to practice in the state of Illinois. We are open to considering candidates with a range of experience levels, including new graduates. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment, and our team is dedicated to helping our veterinarians grow and develop their skills.
We are open to considering candidates who are interested in working with small animals only, or who are interested in working with both small and large animals. For those interested in mixed animal work, we have a well-equipped state-of-the-art large animal facility and a diverse patient population.
While we do offer emergency services, we understand that not all veterinarians are interested in being on call. Therefore, we are open to discussing different on-call schedules that work best for the candidate. We believe in work-life balance and want to ensure that our veterinarians have the time they need to recharge and enjoy their personal lives.

Services we offer:
Preventive Care: We offer a wide range of preventive healthcare services to keep pets healthy and prevent il...lness. This includes vaccinations, parasite prevention, wellness exams, and nutritional counseling.
Medical Care: Our veterinary hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools to accurately diagnose and treat various medical conditions. We provide comprehensive medical care, including internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, dentistry, orthopedics, chiropractic and more.
Surgical Procedures: Our experienced veterinarians perform a variety of surgical procedures, including spaying/neutering, soft tissue surgery, advanced orthopedic surgery, tumor removals, and emergency surgeries. Each of our surgical suites are equipped with a surgical laser. We prioritize patient safety and utilize modern anesthesia and monitoring techniques.
Emergency and Critical Care: We understand that emergencies can happen at any time. Our hospital is equipped to handle urgent cases, and our skilled veterinarians and support staff are trained in emergency medicine and critical care. We do offer after-hours and weekend services.
Diagnostic Imaging: We have advanced imaging equipment such as our HDVI machine for CT/MRI, myelogram, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiography to aid in the accurate diagnosis of various conditions. This allows us to provide efficient and precise treatment plans.
Laboratory Services: Our in-house laboratory enables us to quickly perform diagnostic tests, including blood work, urinalysis, fecal analysis, cytology, and more. This helps us obtain timely results for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Pharmacy: We maintain a well-stocked pharmacy with a wide range of prescription medications and preventive treatments to meet the needs of our patients. Our veterinarians will prescribe medications tailored to each individual pet's requirements.
