Job Title: Veterinarian
Reporting to: Director of SHH Vet Center
Hours per week: 40 hours, including some Saturdays
Position Type: Paid

Secondhand Hounds is looking for a full time Veterinarian to join our team in the Veterinary Center. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced and changing environment. We are seeking an associate veterinarian to work 4, 10 hour days per week, which includes 1 surgery day each week.
We are a full, client facing veterinary center in addition to treating our own foster animals. This gives our veterinarians the opportunity to see many unique cases you may not see in regular general practice! We have electronic medical records, digital dental & whole-body radiographs, ultrasound, and in-house Idexx laboratory analyzers.

SHH is unique that we offer a "marriage" of both rescue animal and owned animal medicine & surgery which allows our veterinarians to see an array of cases!

All revenue generated from owned animals that are seen at our facility are put back into the SHH's general funds to help us continue to save lives and say "yes" to helping animals in need!

Qualifications:
    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Licensure (DVM)
    1-2+ years of veterinary medicine experience, preferred
    Ability to read, understand and follow department and facility procedures and policies
    Experience communicating individually and in team environment
    Experience working with computer applications
    Ability to lift 40-50 pounds daily
