Hoof and Horn Veterinary Services has the position for you. Hoof and Horn Veterinary and Acupuncture Services (H&HVS) is starting an Emergency Veterinarian Position. We have the support of 4 local ambulatory practices to ensure you have the support, caseload and truly get to drop off the truck and transfer your cases Monday Morning.
Our Emergency Cooperative has been working together for 5 years. We have the structure and clientele to support this position. The participating practitioners have 5-15 years of experience and are committed to providing high quality medicine in a rural setting. The participating practices are approximately 50% equine, 30% small ruminant, 10% Bovine and 10% camelid and swine. We have been listed as a need area and bovine and caprine cases are always an underserved population in the area. Love surgery? We will support you with the staff and equipment needed to grow this aspect of our emergency care. You will be working out of a 2500 Silverado with custom Bay horse type box. We have digital radiography, Ultrasonography and all the other toys. We want you to be rested and passionate while providing emergency services so that we can do the work of maintaining client relationships.
This would be a part-time position with 3 weekends on and 1 weekend off. No weeknight call would be expected. Holidays will be split with you and the 4 participating veterinarians. Two additional weekends off a year outside of this schedule are also allotted. Since this is a new position the schedule and structure are negotiable.
