Our Visiting Veterinarian program is intended for graduated veterinarians looking for more hands-on experience in wildlife rehabilitation medicine. Out of state and international veterinarians welcome.
You will be scheduled for approximately 40 hrs/week alongside the medical team assisting with intake exams, performing physical exams, administering medications and fluids, restraining patients for procedures, interpreting radiographs and other diagnostics, monitoring anethesia, assisting with orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and perform physical therapy.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota (WRC) is the busiest wildlife rehabilitation center in the world seeing over 17,000 animals annually. WRC's mission is to rehabilitate and release our wild animal patients back into the wild. WRC is a non-profit organization that has a staff of 40 and relies greatly on the efforts of volunteers and interns during the busy summer months. Our opportunities provide hands-on experience working with wildlife.
