It’s in our name, we are located in beautiful Holmes County, Ohio also known as Amish Country to surrounding areas and states. The primary clinic is in Berlin, OH where we have a completely renovated small animal clinic and a small /large animal haul-in facility. The clinic was established in 1986 by our current Chief of Staff. We are a multi-doctor practice with interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine.
We are a transitioning clinic, providing the needs of our diverse community and evolving to the personal needs of our staff. The veterinary field is always changing and we recognize that we need to as well. Due to this, we are offering full and part time positions for Veterinarians. This position can be available for small animal only or mixed animal practice. We do off ER services, the available positions can be flexible to include ER rotation with bonuses during those hours worked.
Our diverse case load includes 50% commercial canine reproductive enterprises, 25% large animal, and 25% pet care. What does this even mean? In a day at EHVC, you could be:
delivering new born puppies via C-section
breeding a dog via surgical or transcervical AI
completing health checks on a new litter of puppies before they go to their new homes
completing regulatory work on adult dogs to ensure their health for a licensed breeding program
giving new colt shots to a newborn foal
ultrasound a brood mare
radiographing a horse for the next big sale
completing dental work or giving annual exams/vaccines to a pleasure horse
providing pregnancy exams on a small family dairy
consulting on herd health management
breeding soundness exam on a beef bull
an annual wellness exam and vaccines on someone’s best friend
radiographing a lame dog
completing dental work with radiographs on a pet
ultrasound an abdomen
or completing spays and neuters for one of the local humane societies
Why did we write this all out? Because we are a true mixed animal practice and have areas to expand interest in almost all aspects of veterinary medicine. We have a team of experienced veterinarians and could provide great mentorship if needed. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
We provide veterinarians with quality compensation, benefits include health, dental, 401(k), CE allowance, paid time off, membership dues, and liability coverage.
This is a unique community to be a part of and a great place to raise a family. The location is centrally located between Cleveland and Columbus, OH, so there is no missing out on amenities a larger city is able to provide. Get the best of both words in Berlin, Oh.
