We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Administrator to lead our dynamic team and ensure the smooth, efficient, and compassionate operation of our hospital.

The Hospital Administrator has overall accountability for the operational and financial management of the hospital. The Hospital Administrator performs a wide range of difficult to complex administrative activities related to the hospital in providing quality patient care and excellent client service, management of finances and accounting, marketing, and promotion of services, staffing and human resources, and discretionary activities, that serve to support the hospital.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the administrative and support staff.
Collaborate with department leads to ensure optimal workflow and staffing levels.
Effectively communicate and cascade key initiatives impacting hospital administration and Technician staff.
Educate direct reports regarding company policies and protocols and ensure accountability for adherence.
Oversee department team leads to ensure that hospital operations are efficient, effective, and meeting organizational objectives.
Provide performance feedback to direct reports including day-to-day recognition, conduct performance reviews, and ensure appropriate coaching/mentoring is arranged as needed.
Ensure communication and feedback channels with team members are open, schedule and facilitate regular communication opportunities, and is responsive to team member concerns.
Maintain confidentiality of team member records.
Responsible for managing the operations and financial health of the hospital.
Partner with People Operations team on any team member performance issues and/or employee relation investigations.
Responsible for working closely with the Medical Director to establish the best medical care while keeping the positive financial health of the hospital.
Collaborate with Client Experience Manager to review client flow to ensure that clients and patients are seen and treated in a professional, timely and competent manner.
Audit billing, calculations of any discounts, and other special accounts.
Partner with Operations and Inventory Team Leader to review hospital purchasing so the practice operates within budget.
Monitor the team member scheduling so that the practice operates within budget.
Review income statements and other financial data to find ways to improve revenue and profit.
Review client accounts receivable to confirm proper and timely processing.
Understand, participate and support planned marketing events and programs and ensure that the hospital staff utilizes marketing tools and materials and events and programs.
Understand and ensure compliance with OSHA, DEA and FDA, and applicable state and local agencies.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital administration, with a background in veterinary medicine preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards within the veterinary field.
Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and client service.
A degree in business administration or a related field is advantageous.
