Residency in Theriogenology
This two-year clinical residency program at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine (UFCVM) will provide advanced clinical training in comparative theriogenology (reproduction) with training in equine, and secondarily, small animal and ruminant (large and small) reproduction. The goal is successful completion of the American College of Theriogenologists certifying exam. The resident will participate in both in-house and ambulatory equine cases with breeding management in mares using cooled and frozen semen, embryo transfer, care of high-risk pregnancies, semen evaluation, semen cryopreservation and reproductive behavioral conditions, participation in food and small animal reproduction, and hospitalized small ruminant patients with reproductive diseases.
