Anchorage Veterinary Clinic and Urgent Care is a privately-owned urgent care facility.  We pride ourselves on being an excellent place to work. Due to our reputation for providing comprehensive, high quality care with our compassionate and skilled staff we were honored to be voted "Best of Alaska" in the category of veterinarian for the last 2 years! After opening our doors in 2022, we have grown to a staff of 4 highly experienced DVMs.  Veterinarians enjoy a flexible schedule, competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a great support staff.  On appointments, approximately 75% of our daily schedule is committed to providing urgent/same day services.  The remainder is dedicated to caring for our established clients/patients with their on-going medical needs and providing wellness services.  One veterinarian is performs surgeries, dentals, and other procedures daily.

Our top of the line equipment includes a full in house lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, digital dental x-ray, digital cytology, operating microscope, dental suite, surgical suite, and much more.  

Some of the services we are able to offer in addition to urgent and emergency services include wellness/routine care, on-site ACVO-diplomate ophthalmologist for consultation and surgery, advanced surgical procedures, oncology and other specialty consultations (via an established telemedicine service), radiology consultations (via telemedicine), digital cytology (pathologist review on slides in 2-4 hours).

As a privately owned veterinary clinic this is one of the few clinics remaining which gives associate veterinarians a potential for practice ownership in the future.  Our staff are very experienced and love teaching and mentoring.  We provide externship/apprenticeship opportunities to veterinarians and technicians in training.  

Anchorage, with its proximity to both mountains and ocean, is a fantastic place to live.  Within 1 hour, you can be hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, skiing, surfing, amongst other outdoor activities.  Within Anchorage there are 100s of miles of trails for biking, cross country skiing, and hiking.  The community has a tight-knit feel, and it's large enough to provide an excellent sampling of cultural and culinary options as well.
