Come join us at Dunkirk Animal Hospital, a busy small animal exclusive clinic in Calvert County, Maryland where we enjoy a professional but relaxed environment. Established in 1996, we are committed to excellent client and patient care through the practice of comprehensive veterinary medicine.
We currently have five full time and two part time veterinarians. We would like to add an additional full time associate veterinarian to our team. Veterinarian duties include medical appointments, managing hospitalized patients, dental procedures and surgery. We are open 7 days a week. A typical full time work schedule is a three day workweek and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every 5 weeks. Veterinarians do not have after hours emergency duty. The clinic is closed for the major holidays.
The salary is commensurate with experience. Additional compensation includes state and federal licensing fees, AVMA professional dues, liability coverage, PTO, employer matching retirement plan and fully paid health/dental insurance.
Dunkirk Animal Hospital is well equipped with an IDEXX in house diagnostic suite (ProCyte DX, three Catalyst DX units, VetLab Station, SediVue DX), IDEXX ImageVue DR40 digital radiography, Cornerstone practice management system, IDEXX telemedicine, Tonovet, Bovie 1250S electrosurgery unit, GE Versana Premier ultrasound, IM3 high speed dental unit, IM3 Vet-Tome extraction system, Cardell patient monitoring and more. We are in close proximity to multiple referral facilities.
We are located in Dunkirk, Maryland approximately 40 minutes east of Washington, D.C. and 45 minutes south of Annapolis, Maryland.
